Horizon scanning

With the increasing volume of decommissioning activities and the requirement from stakeholders to accelerate the decommissioning and dismantling roadmaps, there is a need for innovative solutions. Damona’s consultants has been involved over the past few years to identify  technologies with clear use cases in active environment to support decommissioning and dismantling. For each potentially relevant technology, Damona has been interacting with the different technology vendors to clearly understand their products and how they could fit in the end-users portfolio.

To date, Damona has almost identified, interacted with and documented 100 technologies – some of those who were consequently deployed by Damona’s clients or short-listed in nuclear but also conventional innovation calls.

This project was made possible by leveraging Damona’s expertise from nuclear sites but also their wide understanding of technology development through past experience.
